Winter is here!

Finally getting some pictures up here!  Been way too long.

My attempt at just one picture of the kids in front of the tree after we decorated it.  I told them to be silly or whatever but just to sit near each other in front of the tree...even that was too much to ask.  this was close enough.
Clare had a little Christmas program at daycare where her preschool class sang 10 little elves.  she bravely stood up there with her class but did not sing.  She sings the song at home (along with 10 little Zach-tutes - video hopefully to come).

the boys sang many, many songs at their school Christmas program. Zach was a shepherd but was sitting down in front of where Nate is standing so we couldn't see much of him. Nate sang and knew all the words and gestures and all.  He's a great student and memorizer that way and did great.  Zach looked sharp and walked the walk but I think got a little stage fright at the time his class stood up front for their song and he didn't sing at all.

Holiday happenings

We had the fortune to get to go to a few coug games this season.  the boys got lots of looks and high fives with their gear on. this was the Arizona State game in early November.

The week before thanksgiving was a huge windstorm which knocked out power to most of Spokane for days.  we lost our power for 2 days and the top of a tree fell into our yard.  luckily missed the house and gas meter!  Clare still yells in excitement every morning when we turn on the lights, "WE HAVE POWER!"

Here is our Christmas tree!  it's now up and decorated by some pretty excited kids.  Got some lights up outside, too.  It's been a fun Christmas season so far...filled with anticipation and excitement.  Kids' list to ask Santa this year are:
Nate: golden retriever puppy to name Goldie
Zach: Jack Russell Terrier puppy to name Bison
Clare: Boots

Back to School

A lot of pictures of Zach's first day but he is so photogenic and so excited we had time to spare and took lots of pictures.

Baseball night

Pete's office had a night at the Indians Baseball game and someone from his office took these pictures.  She got a few of Clare before she noticed she was getting her picture taken.  He has a great team of co-workers and is enjoying his job. Lots of other young families...2 have one girl Clare's age. Definitely was feeling the "here is our squad of kids" when compared to having only 1.

and a couple other random ones i had on my computer i thought i'd share.  i'll have to get the back to school photos on here soon.  the boys' first day was yesterday (monday) except nate was sick so his first day is today.  Adorable picts.  Zach was bouncing off the walls with excitement in the morning.  He had a great day.

a little lower and a little safer now (disc brakes and new springs)
