A couple pictures to start from Nathaniel's big birthday #5! At 5, he currently aspires to be a paleontologist AND a pilot when he grows up. He had a very fun day and loves all his new gifts from you all! Thank you! Here he is with the Land Shark RC car. He quickly got the hang of the controls and can drive it pretty well in circles and throughout the house. We haven't yet taken it outside but it is supposed to drive over rough terrain and through water.
He challenged us a little this year with the request for a snake cake. Not just any snake cake but a red boa constrictor sitting on a tree branch. I wanted to go with a reticulated python with a small monkey in it's mouth but couldn't find a fake snake big enough to hold another small animal to put on a tree branch made of cake. We did find a smaller orange "boa constrictor" (i.e. generic snake) to give him and intended to just place it on the cake tree branch but Pete was feeling ambitious and it turned out pretty good in the end.
I'm 5 now!
And I'm 2!
