finally getting christmas pictures on here and our wonderful snow that is melting this week. we got a fun snowman family making kit that we couldn't use until last week when the snow melted just enough to pack together. didn't get much or much non-blurry pictures on christmas but it was a wonderful day.
Nate saw a magical commercial and realized you could ask Santa for a real puppy for Christmas and you might get it. so, he did...a golden retriever to be named Goldie. After a conversation in the car about what to name this Golden Retriever and how Zach liked the name Bison but Nate thought that was preposterous to name a GOLDEN RETRIEVER, Bison. He doesn't look like a bison, isn't as big as a bison, doesn't eat the same things as a bison, isn't the same color as a bison....the list went on and on. so, the only solution was for each of them to get a dog so they could each name their own dog. oh, and Clare volunteered to do the pooper scooping. they had it solved. Lucky for us, the stuffed animals were a hit...and no co-workers dropped off a puppy at the doorstop on christmas morning (as had been discussed at my work in the weeks leading up to christmas). Nathaniel clung to hope till christmas morning. maybe another christmas miracle in a few years...
Zach asked santa for a jack russell terrier named Bison.
handmade, totally awesome pop guns from uncle chris!
and i just love all these pictures of zachary proudly holding his dino eraser for uncle adam and aunt cole. perfect!
Moose ornament from Aunt Jolene
a wonderful dollhouse handed down from Godmother Gracie. thank you!
a new kitchen from Santa! she can now make pancakes for everyone on her stove top! (and put stuffed animals in the microwave for safe keeping---from her brothers)
Clare and Daddy enjoying some pumpkin pie. a favorite for both of them.
it was a winter wonderland all through christmas break. the snow is just now melting. we had well over a foot and then lots of icicles. the kids went sledding everyday and played with the neighbor kids sledding too. the sled run is down the side of our house just on the outside of the fenceline on the left in the next picture and they could make it all the way to the shop on a good run.
front of our house. we have a u-driveway.
